Refinitiv: trade sources say the Egyptian state oil company bought six cargoes
of high-sulphur fuel oil via tender, each about 90,000–100,000 mt, for delivery
in November–December. Shipping-data firm Kpler shows Egypt's October fuel oil
imports exceeded 640,000 mt, roughly flat with September and up since April;
Jan–Oct imports fell to 3.94 mln mt, down from 5.95 mln mt in the same period of
2025. Egypt's LNG imports rose earlier this year and peaked in July but have
slowed since August. One analyst warned the oil ministry's spending could exceed
budget totals ahead of the spring–summer demand peak.
