Hong Kong stocks rallied midday as the Hang Seng Index rose 1.64%; intraday
range was 22,947–23,291 after opening at 23,011, with turnover HKD107.1bn.
Overnight US indexes slipped while the China Golden Dragon index was slightly
higher. Top sector performers were mainland education, ports & logistics, dairy
and internet healthcare; household appliances, restaurants and alcoholic
beverages also gained. Underperformance came from brain‑computer interface
plays, heavy machinery and PCB names, while consumer electronics, semiconductors
and newly listed AI stocks lagged. Notable moves: Mengniu Dairy (02319.HK) +7%,
New Oriental (09901.HK) +6.5%, JD Health (06618.HK) and Shenzhou International
(02313.HK) >+5%; Evergrande Property (06666.HK), on its first day back, fell
over 13%, Zhipu (02513.HK) down ~5% and Lenovo Group (00992.HK) down >4%.
