MOFCOM said it noted the FCC vote approving restrictions on testing
laboratories, describing the move as a unilateral U.S. action that ignored
China's repeated representations and breached leaders' consensus. It said the
measures harm Chinese and other trading partners' interests, disrupt Sino‑U.S.
trade stability and global supply chains, and that China is strongly
dissatisfied and has already taken countermeasures. MOFCOM said the door to
resolve the issue through consultation remains open, urged the U.S. to revoke
the measures, and warned it will take further necessary steps if Washington
proceeds.
