Asked if the Qatar-brokered talks with Iran have a deadline, Trump said he is not in a hurry because, he asserted, US forces have destroyed Iran’s navy, air force, air-defence systems, most military equipment, much of its manufacturing capacity and its nuclear facilities, though 'one or two' sites remain. He said plans are in place and that Pickaxe Mountain 'also needs to be dealt with' but could be handled 'in 10 minutes.'

On Nov 1 local time, the Sudan Armed Forces said drone strikes hit multiple energy facilities in River Nile and Northern states, severely damaging a power station in Abu Hamed, a power station in Dalaba and two fuel storage facilities, triggering widespread power outages across central and northern Sudan. The SAF blamed the Rapid Support Forces for the attacks; the RSF had not responded.
