US and Israeli sources said Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu held a
direct, sharp call on Oct. 31 about US-Iran negotiations. Netanyahu urged Trump
to resume war against Iran immediately after the Nov. 3 US midterms and
expressed concern over Qatar-mediated talks. Trump told Netanyahu he preferred
to let the talks proceed and did not want Israeli interference; sources said his
stance could change materially if the talks fail. The White House and the
Israeli prime minister’s office declined to comment.
