Jiangbolong said on a conference call the storage market is shifting from a
consumer-price cycle to an AI-driven technology cycle. With storage wafer prices
staying elevated, downstream demand has diverged: data-center demand is broadly
strong, while consumer-electronics purchases are partly constrained, though
high-end, branded and overseas buyers remain resilient. Third-party data show
deployment of large AI models at cloud and edge is becoming established and
could deliver sustained incremental storage demand over the mid-to-long term.
Overseas vendors remain relatively cautious on NAND Flash capex, favouring
technology upgrades to drive only moderate supply growth, keeping the storage
supply-demand balance biased toward tightness.
