The third-review draft of the Procuratorate Public‑Interest Litigation Law was submitted to the 14th NPC Standing Committee's 25th meeting for review on Nov. 2. The draft clarifies case scope, jurisdiction and trial procedures, optimizes pre-litigation steps for civil public‑interest suits, and tightens provisions for supervision of prosecutorial public‑interest work. Building on second‑draft additions protecting elderly and disabled groups, the third draft explicitly permits People's Procuratorates to bring public‑interest suits related to barrier‑free environment construction. The phrasing 'cultural relics and other cultural heritage protection' was amended to 'cultural heritage protection.'
