JoAnne Bianco, senior investment strategist at BondBloxx Asset Management, said
weaker labor-market data, signs of slowing consumer demand or further tightening
in financial conditions could lower the probability of a Federal Reserve rate
hike in December. She added that slower growth and easing inf pressures would
make the Fed more comfortable holding rates steady and that markets can rapidly
reprice rate expectations if new data undermines the economic-resilience
narrative. LSEG money-market pricing currently implies a 74% probability of a
25bp December hike.
