China night futures session opened with most benchmark contracts lower. Coking coal, Shanghai tin and Shanghai silver slipped nearly 2%. Low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), styrene (EB), benzene, SC crude, fuel oil, aluminum alloy and international copper fell more than 1%. Advancers included caustic soda and plastics, each up over 1%, while propylene rose nearly 1%.

At a Nov. 3 foreign ministry briefing, a Reuters reporter noted an Omani delegation was in Beijing on Nov. 2 and asked whether it had opportunities to meet Saudi and Iranian security officials and whether China would provide a venue. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said the ministry has published information on the visit and that, from China’s perspective, it is willing to play a role in promoting dialogue and facilitating exchanges.
