Decision Desk HQ (per The Hill) projected on Tuesday that Democrats have won control of the U.S. House, returning to the majority after four years in the minority and ushering in a divided government. The shift will immediately constrain the White House legislative agenda and set up clashes between the House and White House on immigration enforcement, government spending, Trump’s global tariff policy and potential action on Iran. Democrats have pledged broad investigations into Trump and his inner circle, focusing on the Epstein scandal, violence tied to mass deportation operations and the finances of Trump and his family, increasing oversight and political risk heading into next year.

Taobao Flash Sale began mid-October grey testing of its premium at-home dining project "Home Feast" in Beijing, covering six brands and 18 stores in the first wave. The rollout follows tests in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Shenzhen, bringing national coverage to 27 brands and more than 50 stores. Beijing's cohort includes four brands new to the test and adds Beijing outlets from two previously participating brands. Partner selection is based on brand quality and industry standing; Taobao co-develops delivery-specific menus with food experts, screens dishes for delivery suitability, redesigns menus and confirms taste through multiple delivery trials before listing.
