Hong Kong’s Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) said in a press
release it charged a former deputy vice-president of Hong Kong Exchanges and
Clearing (HKEX) on Nov. 4 with allegedly dishonestly accessing HKEX’s internal
information system, involving confidential data on listed companies. The former
executive’s mother was also charged. The case was listed for a hearing this
afternoon at the Eastern Magistrates’ Court.
