China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and 20 organizations
including Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent and Xiaomi jointly released a Self-Regulatory
Convention on agent development, calling for construction of interoperable agent
infrastructure. Planned technical and standards work covers agent registration
and resolution, capability description and discovery, intent understanding and
translation, network routing and connectivity, resource scheduling and metering,
and protocol compatibility and mutual recognition. The initiative aims to lower
cross-domain discovery and connection costs to support inter-agent collaboration
and accelerate agent deployment across industries. It emphasizes serving the
real economy by developing low-barrier agent development and deployment tools,
co-developing agents for real operational scenarios that create tangible value,
embedding agents in existing production systems and business processes to create
benchmark applications, and reducing deployment costs to boost sectoral quality
and efficiency.
