On Nov. 2 China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Director Kang Yi met UN
Under‑Secretary‑General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua and signed the
Phase IV China–UN Statistical Capacity Development Trust Fund agreement. The
program will prioritize the National Accounts System 2025 initiative,
digital-economy statistics, and the application of big data and data science to
statistical work, aimed at strengthening statistical capacity in developing
countries.
