Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said on Wednesday Democrats will push to
end the U.S. war with Iran after winning a congressional majority and will use
Congress's control over federal spending to limit the president's ability to
wage war. He said some Republicans have joined the effort. Congress passed a
non-binding June resolution calling on the president to stop hostilities; the
House passed a similar September resolution with seven Republican votes.
