Fox News, citing sources, reports Vice President VANCE is mobilizing a 'new
right' coalition ahead of the 2028 cycle to court voters disillusioned with
Trump. After Republican midterm losses, VANCE published a long post Wednesday
and signaled policy divergences with Trump on foreign policy and the U.S.-Israel
relationship. A source said the WHITE HOUSE held a Wednesday morning meeting to
keep government messaging unified after the midterms. VANCE posted that "the
reason we lost is this war," adding the president "said so last night." He
identified four priorities to win back voters: end wars; focus on cost of living
and inf; put America first; and change the U.S.-Israel relationship. In
September VANCE said he would not call the Iran conflict a "war." A government
official described the four priorities as a rallying call for the 'new right'
and said VANCE is not seeking a break with Trump but aims to signal to Trump
supporters who disagree on foreign policy or feel betrayed that "VANCE is one of
us."
