China’s hydrogen industry investment doubled in the first three quarters, with
total investment of 28.7 bln yuan, up 108% YoY. More than 10 renewable-powered
hydrogen projects started this year, adding about 100,000 tonnes per year (tpa)
of commissioned capacity. To date, operational renewable-hydrogen capacity
exceeds 350,000 tpa—over 50% of global capacity—and projects under construction
add more than 1.2 mln tpa, leaving China at a global-leading scale.
