Saxo Bank chief investment strategist Charu Chanana said markets should not read
recent moves as Democrats trying to end the AI boom. Both parties still
prioritize keeping AI leadership amid intense competition, but political backing
for leadership is not the same as permitting unchecked, cost-insensitive or
schedule-agnostic infrastructure build-out. The sell-off contains panic-driven
elements and has been amplified by investor positioning; simultaneous unwinds
can create a self-reinforcing loop, particularly where leverage and forced
liquidations are involved.
