Germany's industrial production rose 0.7% m/m in September, the Federal
Statistical Office said on Friday, versus economists' median forecast for a 0.2%
m/m decline and after a revised 1.0% gain in August. The increase came despite
energy prices rising following the Iran war, which continue to add pressure on
firms. September factory orders also jumped, while the October manufacturing PMI
showed activity continued to recover but at a slower pace.
