A MOFCOM spokesperson said applications to open anti-dumping investigations into
imports of para-aramid filament and ethylidene norbornene from the EU meet
Chinese law and WTO filing criteria; China will conduct investigations in
accordance with law and regulations, safeguard stakeholders’ rights and issue
objective, fair rulings. The ministry said China has been consistently prudent
and restrained in using trade remedies compared with the EU’s filings against
China, and called on the EU to address trade issues through dialogue rather than
protectionism.
