UKMTO reported an incident in the Gulf of Oman, 18 nm east of Khorfakkan, UAE, involving a bulk carrier and military forces.

On the 7th Iran foreign minister Araghchi said he spoke by phone over the past 48 hours with foreign ministers from 12 countries, including Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Pakistan, to review recent regional and international developments and consequences of escalating US and Israeli actions. He reiterated Iran’s legitimate right to defend its sovereignty and national security, urged respect for state sovereignty, an end to aggression and threats and avoidance of destructive foreign interference, and called on regional states to assume responsibility for preventing the spread of insecurity. He stressed the necessity of establishing a regional security mechanism free from external interference.

Nov. 7 — At a signing ceremony, the state-owned assets subgroup of Shanghai’s trading delegation reported $2.862 bln in intended procurement at the 9th China International Import Expo. The subgroup recorded 137 intended purchase orders across bulk commodities, medical devices and agricultural/food products, up 3.1% YoY. Since the first CIIE it has logged $25.2 bln of intended procurement with firms from more than 20 countries and regions, ranking first among Shanghai delegation subgroups for nine consecutive years.
