Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed that the company is restarting H200 AI
accelerator manufacturing for customers in China, signaling progress in its
efforts to reenter the market. This follows the US easing export restrictions,
allowing Nvidia and AMD to sell less-powerful chips in China. Although the H200
is less advanced than Nvidia’s latest AI models, it remains more powerful than
locally available alternatives. Nvidia had previously secured only one US
license to ship a small quantity of H200 units.
