On Aug 22 Bulgaria defense minister Stoyanov told media US KC-135 tankers stationed at Bezmer airbase departed the base on Aug 21. He said the aircraft mainly conducted training and did not leave NATO airspace. Bulgaria's parliament on July 22 approved deployment of eight KC-135s and 250 US personnel to Bezmer through Oct 1.

Iran’s acting defense minister said the Iranian defense industry, despite sanctions and operational difficulties, has kept weapons and equipment production lines running and strengthened the armed forces’ long-range strike and deterrent capabilities. He said new offensive and defensive systems have been deployed to the battlefield even under wartime conditions, deployment efforts are ongoing, and Iran will not yield to pressure.
