At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with paraxylene up over 3%, coking coal, PTA, BR rubber, caustic soda, coke, and TSR20 rubber up over 2%, and silver, lithium carbonate, soybean meal, and bottled PET chips up nearly 2%. On the downside, container shipping to Europe fell nearly 4%, asphalt fell over 2%, and propylene fell over 1%.
