The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the healthcare industry added 43,000 jobs in September, roughly the same as the 12-month average of 42,000 jobs added per month. Employment increased this month in mobile healthcare services (+23,000) and hospitals (+16,000). Employment in food service and drinking establishments continued its upward trend, adding 37,000 jobs. Social assistance employment continued its upward trend, adding 14,000 jobs.
