[Institutions: Dollar Poised for Biggest Weekly Drop in Four Months, Fed Path in Focus] Today, the US market was closed for Thanksgiving, leading to liquidity shortages and amplifying currency trading volatility. The dollar is retreating from a six-month high reached a week ago, poised for its biggest weekly drop since July. Brent Donnelly, president of Spectra Markets, stated, "The market will soon be considering key trading strategies for 2026, and I strongly believe 'going long on the dollar' won't be one of them." He added that if Hassett, the White House economic advisor who advocates for interest rate cuts, is appointed as the next Fed chairman, it should be detrimental to the dollar.
