[Major Breakthrough! Chinese Scientists Realize and Detect High-Order Non-Equilibrium Topological Phases in Quantum Systems] It was learned from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) that Pan Jianwei, Zhu Xiaobo, Peng Chengzhi, Gong Ming, and others from USTC, in collaboration with Mei Feng and others from Shanxi University, have for the first time realized and detected high-order non-equilibrium topological phases in a quantum system based on the programmable superconducting quantum processor "Zu Chongzhi II". This achievement marks a significant breakthrough in quantum simulation for exploring complex topological states of matter, laying the foundation for achieving quantum advantage in quantum simulation using superconducting quantum processors. The relevant findings were published on the 28th in the international academic journal *Science*.
