Documents show that India and France have reached an agreement on revising the terms of their 1992 tax treaty. The new Franco-Indian treaty will help many French companies pay lower dividend taxes in India. The new Franco-Indian tax treaty will also cause France to lose its "most-favored-nation" status and expand New Delhi's power to tax stock sales by French investors.
