At midday close, most major domestic futures contracts rose. Platinum and palladium on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange both hit their daily limit up, while silver rose over 8%, lithium carbonate rose nearly 6%, nickel rose over 4%, and ethylene glycol (EG) rose nearly 4%. On the downside, container shipping index (European route) and polysilicon fell over 1%, and soybean meal fell nearly 1%.
