[Baogang Steel Responds to Explosion: Cause Still Undetermined, Affected Production Lines to Shut Down] At approximately 3:00 PM on January 18th, an explosion occurred at Baogang Rare Earth Steel Plate Plant. On the morning of the 19th, Baogang Steel issued an announcement stating that a saturated water and steam tank exploded in the steelmaking department of its subsidiary's plate plant, resulting in 2 deaths, 8 missing persons, and 84 injured and hospitalized. A reporter, posing as an investor, contacted the publicly listed phone number of Baogang Steel's board secretary. The staff member who answered stated that the cause of the accident is currently undetermined.
