According to a Reuters poll, 58 out of 100 economists expect the Federal Reserve to keep the federal funds rate between 3.50% and 3.75% in the first quarter of 2026 (in a December poll, most expected at least one rate cut). Of the 100 economists surveyed, 55 believe the Fed will resume rate cuts in June or later.
