At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with Shanghai silver up nearly 13%, platinum up over 9%, palladium up over 7%, fuel oil up nearly 7%, container shipping to Europe up over 5%, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), rapeseed oil, and SC crude oil up over 4%, Shanghai gold up nearly 4%, and low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and methanol up over 3%. On the downside, lithium carbonate fell over 6%, while live hogs and iron ore fell nearly 1%.
