At the close of the morning session, most domestic futures contracts rose, with container shipping to Europe up over 5%, aluminum, cast aluminum alloys, and asphalt up over 4%, alumina up over 3%, silver, gold, and SC crude oil up nearly 3%, and low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), fuel oil, tin, and zinc up over 2%. On the downside, lithium carbonate fell over 2%, and stainless steel (SS), nickel, and polysilicon fell over 1%.
