At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with Shanghai aluminum up nearly 6%, container shipping to Europe up over 4%, asphalt up nearly 4%, cast aluminum alloys, Shanghai gold, and alumina up over 3%, Shanghai silver up nearly 3%, and cotton, SC crude oil, Shanghai zinc, Shanghai tin, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), and fuel oil up over 2%. On the downside, lithium carbonate fell nearly 4%, and polysilicon fell over 2%.
