At midday close, most domestic futures contracts were down, with Shanghai silver, platinum, palladium, lithium carbonate, nickel, tin, copper, aluminum, international copper, stainless steel, SC crude oil, fuel oil, and aluminum alloys hitting their daily limit down. Shanghai gold fell over 15%, Shanghai zinc fell over 6%, low-sulfur fuel oil and benzene fell over 5%, and BR rubber, styrene, PTA, asphalt, paraxylene, and ethylene glycol fell nearly 5%. On the upside, caustic soda rose over 2%.
