The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) reported that the wholesale penetration rate of new energy vehicles (NEVs) by manufacturers reached 43.8% in January, an increase of 1.3 percentage points compared to January 2025. In January, the penetration rate of NEVs among domestic brands was 57.9%; among luxury cars, it was 39.8%; while the penetration rate among mainstream joint venture brands was only 3.6%.
