Energy:
1. U.S. Energy Secretary Wright: We will restart uranium enrichment in the U.S., partly in collaboration with our French partners. I believe we will see Venezuelan oil production increase by hundreds of thousands of barrels per day by the end of the year.
2. The Iraqi cabinet approved an "amicable solution" with Russia's Lukoil to transfer the operating rights of the West Kuna 2 oil field to the state-owned Basra Oil Company.
3. Preliminary results show that Glencore's oil trading volume will reach 4.2 million barrels per day in 2025 (compared to 3.7 million barrels per day in 2024).
4. Petroleum Institute of Japan (PAJ): Japan's crude oil inventory was 9.71 million kiloliters on February 14, down from 10.08 million kiloliters on February 7; diesel inventory was 1.43 million kiloliters on February 14, compared to 1.46 million kiloliters on February 7. Refinery operating rate was 84.5% from February 8 to February 14.
Other:
1. Japan's exports to the U.S. declined year-on-year for the second consecutive month.
2. Los Angeles Port's container imports in January totaled 421,594 TEUs, a 13% year-on-year decrease; exports totaled 104,297 TEUs, marking the lowest monthly figure in nearly three years.
3. Trump: The US-Japan trade agreement has officially begun, and Japan's initial investment plans in the US will cover three strategic projects.
4. Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ryoma Akazawa: The three US investment projects include $600 million for a synthetic diamond project, $2.1 billion for an oil project, and $33.3 billion for a gas-fired power generation project for data centers. We will continue to coordinate closely with the US on the details of these projects.
