Centrus Energy CEO Amir Wechsler stated that the company is accelerating the expansion of its enriched uranium capacity at its Ohio plant to meet a $2.3 billion backlog of enriched uranium orders. However, he indicated that the restart of several US nuclear power plants and upgrades to reactors to increase power generation will put pressure on a few Western enriched uranium suppliers.
