At the close of the morning session, most domestic futures contracts rose, with container shipping to Europe surging over 14%. Fuel oil and SC crude oil hit their daily limit up, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) rose nearly 9%, silver and methanol rose over 7%, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and asphalt rose over 5%, gold rose nearly 4%, and benzene, ethylene glycol (EG), PX, and PTA rose over 3%. On the downside, polysilicon fell over 3%, and live hogs fell over 2%.
