At midday closing, domestic futures contracts showed mixed results. Caustic soda hit its daily limit up, while SC crude oil and benzene rose over 6%, styrene (EB) rose nearly 6%, apples rose over 4%, and synthetic rubber rose nearly 4%. On the downside, methanol, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and container shipping to Europe fell over 3%, while palladium, rubber, and Shanghai tin fell nearly 1%.
