The Office of the United States Trade Representative announced that the United States and Japan have released a collaborative action plan for critical minerals. The U.S. and Japan will focus their initial round of minimum price negotiations on certain critical minerals; they will discuss trade measures that could support the parties to multilateral agreements in building resilient critical mineral markets; and they will jointly identify specific strategically important critical mineral mining, processing, and manufacturing projects in the United States, Japan, and other countries.
