The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Deputy Foreign Minister Borisenko held consultations with Arab League Deputy Secretary-General Hussam Zaki, who is on a working visit to Moscow. The Russian side reiterated that there is no alternative to a political and diplomatic solution to the crisis. All parties agreed that the conflict must be urgently shifted to the diplomatic level to prevent further escalation.
