Security, moving to end a partial government shutdown that has disrupted airport
operations and added pressure amid the Iran war. The measure now awaits House
approval and signature from Donald Trump.
The vote marks a Republican reversal after weeks of blocking similar proposals,
as severe staffing shortages at the Transportation Security Administration led
to long airport lines and more than 480 resignations, increasing urgency for a
deal.
