China’s State Administration for Market Regulation said it will explore the
extraterritorial application of its Anti-Unfair Competition Law, targeting
overseas practices such as false advertising, online unfair competition,
commercial defamation, and trade secret infringement that affect China’s
domestic market order and business interests.
The regulator also said it will strengthen international cooperation, build
specialized enforcement teams, and expand engagement with international
organizations and partner countries to promote coordination on fair competition
rules and share China’s regulatory experience.
