Defense and energy stocks weakened throughout the day, while optical communication and gold stocks led the gains. Chalco International (02068.HK) surged over 22%, and Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (06869.HK) rose over 14%; Haier Smart Home (06690.HK) fell over 5%, and XPeng Motors (09868.HK) fell over 4%.
