China’s auto exports surged 61% year-on-year to 1.55 million units in the first
two months of 2026, with February exports rising 79% to 750,000 units, according
to the China Passenger Car Association. New-energy vehicle exports hit 670,000
units in the period, up 88%, with February alone reaching 320,000 units, a 120%
year-on-year increase.
