China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has issued a
warning about a critical security flaw in Apple products that could lead to
information theft and full system compromise. The ministry stated that attackers
are exploiting vulnerabilities in devices running iOS 13.0 to 17.2.1.
The attack is initiated by tricking users into visiting a malicious webpage via
Safari, often through links in messages or emails. This can result in the
installation of remote control malware and theft of sensitive user data.
