Honor is in discussions with ByteDance over potential cooperation on a “Doubao
Phone,” according to people familiar with the matter.
Sources said ByteDance had initially approached Honor before partnering with ZTE
Corporation on its first-generation device. Honor was said to be cautious,
citing risks tied to deep system-level integration, including potential issues
with stability, compatibility and security that could affect its large user
