China’s major futures contracts were mostly higher at the morning close, with
live hogs rising more than 3%. Methanol, lithium carbonate, ethylene glycol (EG)
and polysilicon gained over 2%, while cotton, iron ore, eggs and the container
freight index (Europe route) rose more than 1%.
On the downside, glass fell over 1%, while PVC and palladium edged lower.
