The U.S. and Iran are negotiating a three-page plan to end the war, including a proposal for the U.S. to release $20 billion in frozen Iranian funds in exchange for Iran giving up its enriched uranium stockpile, according to U.S. officials and sources. Donald Trump said negotiators may meet this weekend in Islamabad for a second round of talks. Earlier proposals ranged from $6 billion for humanitarian use to Iran’s demand for $27 billion. The U.S. has also sought removal of all nuclear material, while Iran proposed domestic down-blending; a compromise under discussion includes partial transfer to a third country and monitored reductions. Disagreement remains over a nuclear moratorium, with the U.S. seeking 20 years and Iran offering five. The draft also allows civilian civilians nuclear research under restrictions and addresses the Strait of Hormuz, while key gaps persist.
