historical standards despite a slight decline as voters assess her response to
the Iran war. Weekend polls showed support ranging from 53% to 70%, including
ANN at 62%, FNN at 70%, Mainichi at 53%, Asahi at 64%, and Yomiuri at 66%.
Mainichi and Yomiuri both reported 5-point drops, with sharper declines among
those aged 60 and above. Six months into office, the Iran conflict and strained
China relations are weighing on her economic agenda focused on investment and
inflation relief.
